These are all the Sonic characters to date that are still around.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Foot loose and fancy free, his only gripe is with evildoers. He's sometimes quick to anger, but will always lend a helping hand when somebody's in trouble. There's no stopping the world's fastest supersonic hedgehog!

Tails the Fox

(From Sonic Heroes)

Don't let his docile appearance decieve you. This cute twin-tailed fox is an absolute mecha-mechanic with skills rivaling those of Dr.Eggman. Humble about his abilities, he always does his best to help out Sonic, who sees him as something of a cute kid brother. Tails can spin his tails like a rotor blade, enabling him to fly.

Knuckles the Echidna

A powerful and spectacular echidna, he is always ready for a fight. Being so straight forward and earnest, he is easily fooled.

Amy Rose

(From Sonic Rush)

She calls herself Sonic's girlfriend, and chases him wherever he goes. She is cheerful and energetic, strong-willed and very active.

Cream the Rabbit

A rabbit who takes her friend Cheese wherever she goes. She is polite and hardworking. She can also fly by flapping her ears.

Shadow the Hedgehog

The black hedgehog who resembles Sonic. With his powerful body, he can easily rival Sonic's world class speed. Shadow was created as the Ultimate Life form in a secret lab by Professor Gerald Robotnik. Everything else about Shadow's past is a mystery. After risking his life to save the planet with Sonic, he suffers from amnesia, having no memories of his past.

Rouge the Bat

Rouge is a professional treasure hunter, forever in search of the world's most precious stones, and part-time government spy. Fearless, bewitching, and overflowing with feminine charm, Rouge is dedicated to her work, and never leaves a task empty-handed. Her external appearance suggests a careless character, but she is actually calculating and manipulative, basing her actions on potential gain rather than abstract morality or manners. Her powerful wings enable her to fly with ease.

Blaze the Cat

(From Sonic Rush)

As guardian of the Sol Emeralds, she's currently hot on the trail of Dr.Eggman, who's made off with them. Blaze is normally calm and level-headed, but may be concealing her real feelings. Devoted to her position, she sometimes gets bogged down by her own strict discipline, which may explain why she seems a little withdrawn.

Espio the Chameleon

(From Sonic Heroes)

Opinionated and self-obsessed chameleon at the Chaotix Detective Agency. He has a militaristic discipline, despite being quiet and laidback, and thanks to extensive ninja training, he can face trouble head-on, unconcerned by danger. His characteristics include a protruding horn, coiled tail, and a stealth camouflage trick that renders him invisible to enemy eyes, allowing him to pass by unnoticed.

Vector the Crocodile

Outlaw detective and head honcho of the Chaotix Detective Agency. He can always find peaceful solutions to problems, proving an aggressive method cannot be found. Despite this, he's the brains behind the detective operations. He'll do almost any kind of work, providing the payment is right, but won't get involved with anyhting dirty. His charitable nature sometimes leads him to take unpaid work, such as finding lost toys for crying children.

Charmy Bee

(From Sonic Heroes)

This scatterbrained funny-kid likes nothing more than fooling around, and making the remaining Chaotix staff look professional. Seen by the others as more of a cute mascot, he's generally good-natured and light-hearted, but when he gets angry, he often introduces the source of his anger to his stinging tail. Charmy is neither clever nor powerful, but excels in following hunches and uncovering hidden objects. He is also able to mysteriously warp between flowers. His flying helmet is his trademark.

Dr.Eggman

An arrogant self-professed evil scientific genius with a passion for robotics and dreams of enslaving the world in his own Eggman-land utopia. His schemes are invariably foiled by Sonic, but he's never let that detail stop him!

Silver the Hedgehog

Silver the Hedgehog is an anthropomorphic, humanoid, silver hedgehog in the Sonic the Hedgehog series of games, where he hails from at least 200 years in the future.

Marine the Raccoon

Marine the Raccoon is a character who debuted in Sonic Rush Adventure. Marine lives in Blaze the Cat's dimension, currently living on Southern Island where her house is located. She has orange and brown fur, blue eyes, and wears a green and white tube top, black skin-tight shorts, and green and orange shoes. She speaks with an exaggerated Australian accent, using Australian slang words such as 'strewth' and 'bona' and adding the word 'mate' to the end of sentences.

NiGHTS

NiGHTS enjoys flying freely through the beautiful skies of Nightopia. Full of curiosity, NiGHTS loves anyhting new or unusual. When Wizeman, the evil ruler of Nightmare, attempts to take over Nightopia, NiGHTS is compelled to help Will and Helen fight back and restore peace to the land.

Reala

(From NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams)

Reala is one of the First-Level Nightmarens created by Wizeman. Unlike NiGHTS- who is free, graceful and cheerful- Reala is obedient towards Wizeman the creator, as well as dirty, cruel and insidious. As a symbol of loyalty, Reala wears a Persona mask given to him by Wizeman. Reala acts as the leader of the whole Nightmaren force.
